@nextcloud is there a Nextcloud service provider that offers E2EE & fully private: email hosted by them with my own domain, calendar, tasks, notes, docs, sheets, presentations, files and photos ?

finding a provider for your tailored setup may need some research, we see.

You can find the existing providers here, for both home users and enterprises: nextcloud.com/providers/

You could also try asking our community forum members about their experience with different providers: help.nextcloud.com/

There's none. That's my point.

Right now, I can only choose between unencrypted or insecure alternatives or proprietary solutions which cannot be publicly audited like Tuta, Proton, Infomaniak and more.

I want out of big tech, but I just don't see where to go exactly.

If you find you can raise awareness about this unfilled void in the market to your clients and community, I think everyone will benefit greatly.

Oh, thanks for pointing this out. Truly sorry you can't find a fitting provider at this point. We will see what we can do!

I am sure there will be a good #lemmy community for nextcloud as well.

@Nextcloud 📱☁️💻 are you integrating your forum with #Activitypub using the discourse activitypub plugin? I think that would be a great way to build critical mass of discussion on nextcloud.

just small circles 🕊 reshared this.

@abeorch @buyeuropean

Good idea. And it might also federate with #SocialHub the #ActivityPub developer community that is custodian of the #FEP process, among others.

@abeorch @buyeuropean we are not using ActivityPub plugin, but WordPress Discourse plugin to post on the Nextcloud Community forum and gather comments.

Cool .. It would be great to make the great content on your forum more available to the wider community though. The ActivityPub plugin for #Discourse doesn't need to interrput the good conversations that are happening there. It might encourage more people to register and contribute to the forum to.
