🔙 Do you remember your internship?

Traineeships give young people the chance to develop new skills, build friendships, and gain professional experience.

They can also open doors abroad: 21% of European trainees completed their internship in another EU country. 🇪🇺

✅Today, on International Interns Day, we highlight the importance of fair and inclusive conditions for interns, in line with our latest proposal to improve trainees’ rights.

Hello @CyReVolt!
We are taking significant steps to improve the quality and conditions of traineeships, including addressing the issue of unpaid internships. This includes rules on clear vacancy notices, written traineeship agreements, clearly defined learning objectives, and transparent information on remuneration and social protection. You can learn more about it here: link.europa.eu/r8jNdj

This 'fact' really needs a reference. What does 78% of 'young europeans' even mean?
in reply to abeorch

Thanks for asking, @abeorch! We are referring to a survey of more than 26 000 people aged 18 to 34 across the EU, done in March 2023. You can dig into the data here: link.europa.eu/qrtV8M
