The moment I had been waiting for… for over 10 days. Home in Italy, with a WiFi connection and a still sleeping child. #Docker learning here we go.

Wishing everyone a great Sunday morning! 🌞

I am at about the same place. Worked through the intro training on the docker website. Havent got much further yet. keep.us updated.

will definitely keep you updated but please don't take any dev advice from me, I know NOTHING 😆

I've just been lucky copying and pasting lines of code or using amazing tools like YunoHost.

Docker is my new Everest 😅

Really? I am using #Yunohost as well! - I have an instance operating on #OracleCloud and one running on a #RaspberryPi - I have also spun up #Proxmox beacause I would like to do something more modular using containers so that I can keep the applications a little more independently managed (I like Yunohosts' integrated approach - But I'm looking at #CoopClould.

thank you Jared! Unrelated but I just listened to the latest episode of Fresh Fusion and I was so happy about your life/home update. You sound so happy! (side note: planning to become a backer soon)

also give OrbStack a try. It's a drop-in replacement for Docker but is overall lighter and faster.

will definitely check it out once I have a basic understanding of how Docker works. Thanks for the recommendation!

And everyone please remember I have 0 dev skills. I'm just copying and pasting lines of code and saying little prayers 😆

Ciao Elena, if I can recommend some online content, check out Nana Janashia's Docker courses on YouTube (on her channel, TechWorld with Nana, you'll find a 1-hour course and a 3-hour course). I've been working with Docker for 7 years now and I also teach Docker courses for companies and technical colleges, and I've seen many videos on YouTube and her videos are definitely the best, imho.

Happy hacking! And if you need any advice or clarification, feel free to ask. 🐳 🚀
