What is "Meltwater" and why do they think I'm a journalist and want me to join them? (I'm almost certainly not joining something like this, even if it's not a scam, just curious if anybody knows more about them than their confusing Wikipedia article)

#Meltwater Known them for years - They are a #mediamonitoring amd analytics service and also run an index of journalists so that #PRagencies can push out content and then monitor how much traction they get. If you get listed you will get sent info from their clients and maybe invites to pr events ..
