And supposedly if you go a bit further east you come across pockets of red hair left behind by Roman legionaries of Scottish origin.

@abeorch @TimWardCam I think Damascus just creeps in on the very bottom corner of the map. You can see Lebanon and Damascus is just S of Eastward bulge of Lebanon

what's that hot spot in the east. It's further easy than any other map of Celtic influence I have seen. It looks like Kazan Tatarstan from guesswork
