Its not even cost .. Its just at list price. I mean maybe they are making a loss on every unit and they actually cost more. Who knows.

Having endured a few years of Economics and Economic History & Political Theory my personal view - They are worth only what someone is willing to pay for them - and given that Tesla aren't currently conducting reverse auction .. we just don't know. Its like the very famous cat in the box .. they are at once worth $800 million and also $0. Though they do remind me of the lines of EVs parked up in China with plants growing all over them or indeed the ghost towns of partially finished towerblocks.
