It's 2026. How about we normalize NOT using social media as our website? I'm looking at you city governments, restaurants, businesses, orgs, etc.

Build a website to announce your events. The website doesn't have to be elaborate. Just something with a calendar of events.

Really, friendica lets have a lot of stuff here, but yes, your own web is better that have your 'page' in social media. Really, equally, a page with RSS, ActivityPub or both, is really a good idea.

Wordpress is the door to this for smaller orgs. But in the UK its going to have to come from the gov.uk team.
