I have just heard someone refer to Edinburgh as “a hidden jewel.” I mean – not to the folks who live there, presumably?

Every so often I hear the London or southern entitlement I read folks from the north lamenting in its pure form, and it just knocks me off my feet.

Or, in fact, anyone who has ever travelled there. It’s not some terra incognita, accessible only once every 100 years to doughty adventurers.

When its cheaper for me to get to Spain than Edinburgh its going to remain undiscovered by many
