in reply to abeorch • • •@abeorch Yeah, for importing into Canada it's only shipments up to C$20 value that are tax/tariff free, $100 if it is sent as a gift (directly from an individual, not shipped by a retailer). Somewhere in between the two would be reasonable. For small shipments, the extra fees collected by postal/courier companies to act as a customs broker often end up much larger than the official taxes & fees.
@britt I hope you're able to get a few more orders out to the US before the change comes in. But at the same time, the main advantage of 3D printing, IMO, is that things can be manufactured on demand close to the end user, so I hope you can connect with enough Canadian customers to make that work!
