I think this may be peak Ali:
- email to say "It's leaving the country of origin"
- email to say "It's in your country"
- email to say "Evri will be collecting it"
- email to say "It's cleared customs"
- email to say "Track your parcel here"
- nothing.
- email to say "It's leaving the country of origin...."

The AliEvri loop writ large.

@withaveeay And then there’s the mails from the local postal system claiming it’ll be delivered tomorrow as soon as it hits their systems, despite not actually having gotten hold of the package yet nevermind it clearing customs, and the revised ETA, and the Real Soon Now message, and the it’s been delivered message, and indeed the how did we do message.

@pitrh I never set out to run a mail server. I just wondered how emails were delivered when my address was nowhere in the message. Time passes (that was dial-up...) and I passed through all the spam tools, until now I just run it myself.

AliExpress gets a unique email address. So I can kill that if it becomes a problem.

Right now, my biggest offender is my own credit union (do they have those in the EU?) They appear to have sold my email address, because I *only* use it for them.
